Why I'm on the move

everywhere is

local to someone.

I travel to discover what makes someone else's

"local" worth remembering

it started

closer to home

Looking back, I think my travel bug started long before I ever realized I had one.

My parents love a good road trip.

Route 66, highways stretching toward somewhere new, and the simple excitement of seeing what's beyond the next town

were all part of my upbringing.

They planted a curiosity for discovering

what makes someone else's community

feel like home.

for a long time, life followed the path it was supposed to.

then i changed direction

i wanted to discover what makes life worth loving.

photography changed the way i see the world

I've always had a passion for photography, especially landscapes and the character of the places we move through.

but somewhere along the way, photography became about more than capturing a beautiful view.

It became a way to see the world
through a different lens.

way of life.

discover what someone else loves about home.

sometimes curiosity leads me five minutes from home.
Sometimes it leads me
across the country.
and sometimes it puts me
on a plane halfway
around the world.

there's always more to discover.

what travel taught me

the farther i went,

the more i understood "local."

curiosity became bigger than fear

I grew up hearing the warnings about

unfamiliar destinations louder than the

reasons to experience them.

Don't go there. It isn't safe.

What if something happens?

I learned that traveling requires

awareness and preparation—but also respect for others' cultures and humility in how we

experience them.

The more curiousity asked questions, the more I wanted to experience this diverse world

for myself—from its most iconic destinations to the neighborhoods known best by the people who call them home.

sharing became part of the journey

Somewhere along the way,

experiencing a place for myself became

a story I wanted to share.

The places worth taking the long way to reach. The restaurant someone told us we couldn't leave without trying. The neighborhood that made us wonder what life might look like if we delayed our trip home for one more week and lived there instead.

I realized sharing these experiences could introduce someone else to a place they might never have considered. A photograph, a story, or a recommendation—sometimes that's all it takes to spark someone else's curiosity.

And somewhere along the way, "On the Move" stopped being just about where I was going.

On the Move, Together

Somewhere along the way, "On the Move" became about more than where I was going.

It became about who we meet along the way.

The people who welcome us into their communities. The stories we bring home.

Places someone else loves enough to tell us,

"You have to see this."

And when we share those discoveries, the journey keeps moving—someone else finds a restaurant, explores a neighborhood, books the flight, takes a different road, or sees home

a little differently.

That's what "On the Move, Together"

means to me.

We discover. We share. We inspire the next person to go see for themselves.

Where Should We

Go Next?

Have a place you think we should experience?

A neighborhood we need to explore?

A restaurant we shouldn't miss?

Or maybe you're thinking about your own

next move—and looking for a place that

feels like home.
